You can earn CE credits online
During the COVID-19 pandemic, earning continuing education for loggers and foresters in the Louisiana Logging Council's Master Logger program can be challenging. So, the LLC is now allowing CLEs for online programs. Here are a few:
• Log Truck Safety — The FRA and Georgia Forestry Foundation are sponsoring a free webinar on Safety and Efficiency of Log Trucks on Interstate Highways scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 30. To find out more, download the PDF, which includes description of the webinar and a link to register. One CLE credit can be earned by attending this webinar. A certificate of completion must be turned in to LLC to get credit. Send to Gracee Texada.
• TEAM Safe Trucking — Current LLC members can go to the TEAM Safe Trucking website (www.teamsafetrucking.com), click on "Online Training" and sign up for up to 25 modules, including 11 released for the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Current LLC members qualify to take the modules at no cost. Each module is about 20-30 minutes long. Two CE credits are given for successfully completing one module. First-time users must create an account, which will be activated by TEAM Safe Trucking. Once your account is activated, you can join a group (look in the menu items to the right of the webpage) and type in the key LOUISIANA LOGGING then select which module you'd like to begin. If you have trouble, you can email Miranda Gowell for help. Certificates of completion generated at the end of each module must be turned in to the LLC to get credit. Send to Gracee Texada.
