Wood manufacturers among LED event
Three wood manufactures are among 13 businesses seeking to fill 105 jobs through Louisiana Economic Development.
Great Southern Wood Preserving in Mansura, Interfor in DeQuincy and Weyerhaeuser in Natchitoches have job openings as two are updating and expanding facilities — Great Southern Wood Preserving and Weyerhaeuser — and the third — Interfor — has reopened a dimensional lumber mill after it had been idled for about a year.
LED FastStart will hold the online career fair from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28. There is no cost to participate and participants can register online before or at the start of the event.
"Using the Brazen online events platform, job seekers will have the opportunity to explore employers’ online booths, research companies and find opportunities for which they are best suited," according to an LED media release. "Registrants also can participate in one-on-one, text-based chats with company representatives."
