Treasurer to promote logger relief program
Louisiana Treasurer John Schroder will tour the central and northern part of the state to promote the Logger Relief Grant Program and encourage loggers who own their business to apply for the one-time grant of up to $25,000.
Schroder will make four stops beginning in Alexandria on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to pitch the program passed by the Legislature in the spring to help the logging businesses who can show a loss of at least 10 percent due to the Wuhan COVID-19 pandemic. The business owners must be Master Loggers and show a revenue loss in 2020, compared to 2019 due to the virus.
