SWLA Forestry Association to meet Feb. 12
After two years hiatus because pandemic, the SWLA Forestry Association will holds its annual meeting from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at a new venue, the Rosepine Research Station, 176 Research Road in Rosepine. The deadline to register is Feb. 9.
The LSU AgCenter and SWLA Forestry Association will present several programs to help forest landowners and professional foresters with managing their forests more profitably.
On the agenda are:

Property Tax Update, Mr. Brent Rutherford, Beauregard Parish Assessor

New Prescribed Burn Association, CC Richmond, LDWF
Local Timber Markets, Mr. Paul Stone, SWLAFA President and Consulting Forester
The cost is $25 per household, which would include two spouses and dependent children. That cost also includes annual membership dues to the association. Checks should be made payable to SW LA Forestry Association and mailed to:
