OSHA gearing up for Safe + Sound Week
In anticipation of Safe + Sound Week by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the agency is sharing links for employers and employees that could be helpful.
Safe + Sound Week is held each August when OSHA recognizes workplace safety and health programs that have been successful and offers information and ideas about worker safety. This year it will be held Aug. 10-16.
The links from OSHA include Recommended Practices for Safety and Health Programs, which include recommended practices in a step-by-step approach to safety; Using Leading Indicators to Improve Safety and Health Outcomes, which instructs how leading indicators can help be proactive and use preventative measures to determine if the activities are effective; and it includes links to OSHA's Three Core Elements: Management Leadership, Worker Participation, and Systematic Approach for Finding and Fixing Hazards.
