New reforestation advisor
Greg Hay has been appointed new Reforestation Advisor for Arkansas, northern Louisiana and Oklahoma, according to ArborGen.
Hay, ACF, CF, RF, has more than 40 years experience in forestry. Most recently, he served as territory manager for Nutrien solutions. Prior to that, Hay was the western regional manger for CellFor Corp., providing high technology seedlings to the forest products industry. He has a bachelor's degree in Forest Management from Stephen F. Austin State University and has a certification in silviculture.
Hay also serves on the board of directors for the Forest Landowners Association and the Arkansas Forestry Association, where he also holds the secretary position. He is an active member o the Society of American Foresters, elected Fellow of that organization in 2000, and serves as vice chair of the Arkansas Chapter of the Association of Consulting Foresters.
He was appointed to the Arkansas State Plant Board in 2015 representing Forestry and was elected chairman of the regulatory board in 2019.
For ArborGen Super Seedlings, Hay will work with landowners, forestry managers, consultants and tree planting contractors to provide the most advanced seedling genetic products available — from planning to planting.
