Lead procurement forester sought
Interfor is seeking a lead procurement forester for its sawmill in DeQuincy.
The Canada-based corporation is restarting the former lumber mill in DeQuincy that was closed in May 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. It prefers applicants to have at least a bachelor's degree and 10 years experience "in log purchasing and wood procurement in the southeast," according to the job posting. Knowledge of the log markets in Southwest Louisiana region is also experience Interfor is looking for.
Interfor pegs itself as a growth-oriented lumber company with an annual production of 3.9 billion board feet with a diverse product line.
