Deadline looms for Logger of the Year nominations

The Louisiana Logging Council (LLC) is receiving nominations for the Louisiana Logger of the Year for 2025.

Know an LLC logging business owner who does great work and contributes to his community? Submit your nominations to LLC Coordinator Gracee Texada at gtexada@laforestry.com! The deadline is April 1.

Each year, the LLC receives nominations, reviews them, then sends a three-person judging panel to visit the logger and one of his jobs. The judges then determine who is the top logger for the year. The 2025 Outstanding Louisiana Logger will be honored at the Louisiana Forestry Association 78th annual convention Aug. 19-21, 2025. Louisiana's top logger will be honored during the Logger Appreciation Night on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Resort.
