Burn bans for Allen, Caddo, Jeff Davis parishes

A burn ban has been set for Allen Parish by its Police Jury, except for prescribed burns by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry.

The Police Jury ban prohibits burning trash and vegetation and any other open burning for about a month. Projectile fireworks also are included in the ban, except for public firework displays for the next 30 days. The burn ban will remain until Policy Jury action rescinds it.

Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury also has established a burn ban until further notice.

JDPPJ ordered no burning of trash or vegetation or any open burning. It also prohibits discharging any kind of fireworks.

Caddo Parish in Northwest Louisiana is the only other parish establishing burn bans, according to the LDAF website.
