LFA first association to add Independent Managed Group Certification
Independent Managed Group meets auditor's approval

 

The Louisiana Forestry Association has a registered Independent Managed Group of large landowners (over 10,000 acres)  certified by PricewaterhouseCoopers to the tree farm standards. The current members of the group are A.T. Hunt Jr., Hunt Forest Products, Crosby Family Tree Farm, Crowell et al Timberlands, Crowell Forest Resources LLC and James Timber Company LLC properties in Louisiana.

 

The assessment of the properties was conducted in accordance with ISO standards and showed that the "management system was suitably designed  to provide reasonable assurance that the requirements" of sustainability were met.
